The e5 Adore ministry is an offshoot of the e5 Men program based on Ephesians 5 (e5men.org). The e5 Man fasts for his bride as a way to imitate Jesus as described by Saint Paul in his letter to the Ephesians, chapter 5. Married men fast for their wife, single men fast for their future bride, and Priest fast for the Church his Bride. Additionally, men are encouraged to Fast and Pray for other women in their lives like their mom, siblings, daughters, aunts, etc.
Our e5 Adore ministry invites all men to come together to pray with each other for the women God has placed in our lives in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament (Exposition and Benediction). Since the e5 Man is called to fast and pray on the 1st Wednesday of the month, our e5 Adore evening is also held on the 1st Wednesday of the month at Saints Joachim and Ann at 7:00 PM.
There is a different theme each month on being men of God, so our evening includes a reading from Sacred Scripture and a Reflection from the presiding Deacon or Priest in relation to that theme. All men, young and old, from all parishes are encouraged to join us even if they are not able to fast on that particular day.
My hope is to have this ministry grow beyond our Parish Boundaries. I'm inviting Priests and Deacons from all over the Archdiocese to be a guest Presider and to share a short 5-10 minute reflection based on the selected theme for that evening.

Men,
The following question was recently posted on social media: “What would it mean to you if your husband said he is going to spend an hour before the Blessed Sacrament with other men to pray for you?” Below are some of the responses received from both married and single women.
Love ❤️
I’m no longer married, but it would further endear him to me. ❤️
It would be such an act of love! 💝
Very touching! Any prayer for me from my husband really makes me feel honored, safe, and loved. Praying for someone besides yourself is one of the best ways to love them.
It would be a sign of how much he loves me.
It would make me feel very loved and have great hope in that whatever he prayed for would be granted.
💗💗💗
I'd love it. If only I was married.
I'd love it!!
I’d be on the floor.
If I was married, I would fall in love with my husband all over again and get goose bumps knowing how much he loves me and Our Lord God!!!
I would be flattered that he would do that.
I would love the idea and be appreciative.
Probably nothing I'd like more in the entire world.
Best Gift Ever.
Imagine the impact of participating in our monthly e5 Adore evening would have on your relationship with your beloved. Let her know how much you love her and want her to get to heaven by spending an hour with the Blessed Sacrament the 1st Wednesday of each month praying for her.
